The Management Standards Consultancy helped the Home Office domestic violence policy advisers to identify the performance standards those working in this area need to meet, whether they are working in the statutory sector, voluntary organisations or private businesses.
The first stage of the process was the development of a Functional Map showing all the activities that must be carried out to stop domestic violence, ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of victims, and hold perpetrators to account.
Once this had been agreed by all stakeholders, The Management Standards Consultancy identified existing units of National Occupational Standards that were relevant, and advised where specific standards needed to be developed to reflect the requirements of working in this area. Potential gaps are shown in the Gap Analysis.
